What type of information do we collect?

We receive, collect, and store any information that you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet in order to tell us where our visitors and customers are coming from (so we can see where we are most and least popular).

We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of time spent on pages, pages visited, page interaction information and methods used to browse to and from the page (i.e. how you came to us). We also collect personally  identifiable information (including name, email, communications) payment details (including credit card information) comments, feedback, product reviews and recommendations  for no use other than for your purchases and our knowledge of where to send goods.

How do we collect information?

When you conduct a transaction on our website or payment via Paypal invoices (for bespoke orders), as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address only so that we know where to send your items. We do not use your details for any other reason than as stated.

 

Why do we collect this information?

1. We collect your IP and destination simply, so we know where our market is, where our customers are coming from so that we can better direct our marketing.

2. We collect your name and shipping details so that we know where to send your goods. We will not send anything other than what you have bought to your address and we will not send you any marketing emails unless you so wish us to and we most certainly will not pass them onto a third party for them to use for marketing purposes or anything of the sort.

3. When ordering products that are sourced to a third party (as stated in our ‘about us’ and re-outlined below, your shipping details and name will be passed to them only  so they can ship your products to you. We are extremely careful with who we do business with and refuse, therefore will not pass your details to someone who will abuse them.

4. Your email address will be retained for future communications relating to the order and nothing else. 5. Your address is kept on file as part of marketing research to inform us of where orders are coming from and will not be used for any other purpose.

5. Details of your order are kept for tax purposes and your personal details (such as name, email, address and contact number (if provided) and bank details) are not included in this and are not passed on to the taxman. To clarify, the information used here is just what you have ordered, nothing else.

6. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

 

How do we store, use, share and disclose our site visitors’  personal information?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform, Facebook and Etsy with bespoke orders going through Paypal Invoices.

Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to showcase and sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall/

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Facebook and Messenger comply with current EU Data Protection Law and will comply with the GDPR (privacy  policy found here: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php ). Their GDPR preparations are well underway, led by their Dublin-based  data protection team and supported  by the largest cross-functional team in Facebook’s history. Facebooks Data Policy, defines how they process personal data but any details passed to ourselves via messenger will only be used by us in order to process and send out your order (email is used to send your Paypal invoice only).

Etsy’s Full  Privacy Policy is on their website (see it  here https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy ) and we adhere to it every step of the way. None of your personal information is or will be abused in any way whatsoever.  In order for your to use Etsy services (including sending a message through to us on there) you need to provide them with a valid email address, and for services that require registration, a name so that you can choose to represent yourself on Etsy. This name is shown to us when you message us and that is all. Unless you send us details in your messages, we cannot see your other personal information until you place an order. Any personal details submitted to us via order or messaging will only be used as outlined above. We do keep a printed copy of your order which does include  your address in a secure folded in a locked cabinet and should any paperwork be gotten rid of, it is  shredded and stored in a bag until there is a good amount, then burnt on a fire to be completely rid of it. No piece of paperwork is stored in this bag without being first shredded and the pieces mixed thoroughly to avoid piecing back together.

When we use Paypal to send invoices and receive payments, we keep a printed copy of this invoice for tax purposes but not digital anywhere other than on our Paypal account. We share your name, address and  phone number (if provided) to our supplier and no where else. At current we have just the one supplier called Bloom UK in order to fulfil your flower order, this information is also used when shipping so the postal service also gets it but no-one else.

 

How do we store any personal information?

No piece of paperwork is stored in this bag without being first shredded and the pieces mixed thoroughly to avoid piecing back together.

The only places that we store any electronic copies of these are on the websites as outline above and are kept safe by their protection as outlined in their Privacy Policies. 

How do we communicate with you and what happens to that information?

Unless specified by you to use other means, we will only ever contact you through the messaging services provided by the various websites that we use (i.e. Messenger for Facebook and the Messaging services on Wix.com and Etsy). If we lose the messages and need to get in touch with you, we will email you if we have your email address. We will only contact you to notify you regarding your account, order, to troubleshoot problems with your account or order, to send you updates about your order or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws and any agreement we may have with you.

How do we use cookies and other tracking tools?

With the aid of Unitel Direct, we use cookies to determine how many visitors we get, where they are coming from, and where they go from our website (should they click on any of our links).  You can see their full Privacy Policy here (https://www.uniteldirect.co.uk/privacy-policy/ ) but this information is never used for any reason other than for market research. 

Can you withdraw your consent?

Of course, simply send us an email to info@weddingartificialflowers.co.uk and we shall not process your data any more.

 

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarificiations will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been  updated, so that you  are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
